Trapper Jane began with five long springs spent working in the bush, a desire for well-made, functional clothing and the forced economy of a single backpack. Since then, I have endeavoured to make clothing for everyday life that will defy the turnover of endless fashion trends and bridge the myriad of roles we play in our own lives. At Trapper Jane you'll find skirts that go with everything, trouser jeans you'll want to wear everywhere, studio clothes you don't need to take off when you leave the workshop and long merino dresses that roll up so small, they are especially good for travelling, life in-between-seasons, and nights out after long days of trekking in the wilderness.
Trapper Jane is a one woman show. I design, draft, cut and sew everything here in my workshop in Victoria, BC on unceded Lekwungen Territory
