I'm an experienced maker/long arm quilter and have made cork bags for 5 years now, selling mostly through custom orders. I started Fib rations and small Xma's craft fairs 2 years ago, but of course last year was a washout and I sewed mostly facemasks, supplying Merchant Quarters General store and Pharmasave. I had a shopify site for a while for my cork, but took that down this Jan as it was costing more than selling and I was doing better by word of mouth and fairs.
I use top grade cork 'leather' from Portugal and high-quality hardware on my bags. I have made totes, handbags all sizes, backpacks and sling bags, travel makeup bags, wallets and clutches, pouches, card holders, etc. I'm known for my unique fabrics and colour combinations. I use all cork or combos of cork and cotton/canvas. I've recently started mixing with waxed canvas, really nice totes and slings!
