Hi, I'm Kari. Thanks for your interest in my work! I found the art of jewellery making in 1993, literally by accident. While recovering from a serious snowboarding injury I enrolled in my first jewellery class on a whim. As soon as my hands touched the metal it felt like I had returned to somewhere I'd been before; like I was home.

My aim is always to create substance and meaning through design. I strive to make jewellery that offers the wearer not only practical qualities like versatility and comfort but meta value that might somehow hold sway or depth in their everyday life. Additionally, I work with folks to create custom designs perfect for their specific occasion, while always staying true to my crush on minimalist aesthetics and obsession with functionality. My collections can be found across Canada and abroad through independent boutiques, galleries, tradeshows.

I am a fine art school graduate [ACAD 2003/BFA {Honors} specializing in Jewellery + Metals], a former brick + mortar shop owner [INFLUX Jewellery Gallery, Calgary, AB], an aspiring sculptor and proud parent. Currently I live under the big open sky in the foothills of Alberta with my sweet family, where I also work out of my home-based studio.
